Felipe Dominguez (b. 1983) is a Chilean/American organist, harpsichordist, clavichordist and musicologist. A graduate of Brigham Young University (B.M. 2010, M.M. 2012), he studied organ and harpsichord with Douglas Bush and Don Cook. He has pursued further postgraduate organ instruction in Europe with Edoardo Belotti, Hans Davidsson, Harald Vogel, and Leon Berben. Mr. Dominguez has performed as a soloist and in ensembles in Chile, Argentina, the United States and Europe.

Felipe Domínguez (b. 1983) is an internationally recognized organist, harpsichordist, and musicologist whose career integrates historically informed performance, scholarly research, and artistic leadership. Active as both a soloist and collaborative musician, he has performed extensively throughout the United States and across Latin America and Europe, including appearances in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Germany, Belgium, France, and Italy. His performances are noted for their stylistic insight, clarity, and deep engagement with the rhetorical traditions of early music.
In 2022, Domínguez released A Baroque Christmas on the Sono Luminus label. The album holds particular distinction as the first commercial recording made on the Sono Luminus studio pipe organ and quickly garnered critical and public acclaim. WFMT Radio Chicago selected the album as one of the Best Classical Christmas Albums of the Year, highlighting its artistic and technical excellence. Critical response was equally enthusiastic, with Textura praising that “Domínguez’s rendering of the music is unerring.”
Dominguez received his foundational musical training at Brigham Young University, where he studied organ with Douglas Bush and Don Cook. He later pursued advanced studies in Europe with leading figures in historical performance, including Edoardo Bellotti, Hans Davidsson, Jacques van Oortmerssen, Harald Vogel, and Leon Berben. These formative experiences shaped his interpretive approach and firmly grounded his work in seventeenth-century performance practice.
As a scholar and performer, Dominguez specializes in seventeenth-century music, with particular emphasis on North German organ repertoire and Latin American colonial keyboard music. His work in these fields reflects a commitment to both archival research and the revival of historically significant but underrepresented repertoire.
In addition to his musical training, Dominguez has pursued interdisciplinary studies that complement his artistic career. He holds a master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University and has completed executive education in Business Negotiation at Harvard Business School. Felipe Domínguez es un organista, clavecinista y musicólogo nacido en Talcahuano, Chile.
Radicado en los Estados Unidos desde el año 2005, recibió su Licenciatura en Música como concertista de órgano y clavecín en la Universidad de Brigham Young en Utah en el año 2010.
Ese mismo año fue aceptado en la cátedra de órgano en la misma Universidad candidato a Magister, del cual se graduó con honores en el año 2012.
Al mismo tiempo que realizó sus estudios de música, se título de Ciencias Políticas en Brigham Young y, siguiendo esa línea de investigación en el año 2011 fue aceptado en el programa de Magíster de Asuntos Legislativos (Ciencias Políticas) con beca completa en la Universidad George Washington en Washington, DC, de la cual se graduó en el año 2014.
En el año 2018 completó un grado avanzado en negociación en la Facultad de Negocios de la Universidad de Harvard.
En relación con su especialización musical, en la Universidad de Brigham Young, Felipe estudió órgano y clavecín con los Doctores Douglas Bush y Don Cook.
Además fue el clavecinista y organista de la orquesta de cámara universitaria los años 2010 y 2011.
En el año 2013, realizó estudios de postgrado en Italia donde estudió órgano, clavecín y clavicordio con Edoardo Belotti, Hans Davidsson, Jacques van Oortmerssen.
Además ha tocado conciertos como solista y en conjuntos en Sudamerica, Estados Unidos, y Europa.
